Rival Gangs EXT is a top-down, open world sandbox game for the ZX Spectrum 128K, taking influence from the original GTA games.
Choose your own destiny – gain influence & control by completing the missions for your gang, or go in all guns blazing!
Improvements over the original version include:
- over 20 missions
- new weapons and Kill Frenzies
- greatly improved driver AI – more stealing cars, less getting squished!
- unlock rewards by completing missions
- multiple endings
- map enhancements
- improvements to NPC behaviours
- new loading screen by Davey “Sloanysoft” Sloan
- redefinable controls
- AY music on title screen
A demo version containing the first island of the game is available free of charge.
Please note: an emulator (e.g. Spectaculator, Fuse, ZXSpin etc) or original hardware is required to play this game.
The original Rival Gangs received 5th place in the Best Action / Shoot ‘Em Up Game category of the Planeta Sinclair 2021 Game Of The Year Awards.
