FlappyBird for Playdate is a delightful re imagining of the iconic mobile game that captured the time and attention-spans of bored individuals world-wide. Crafted specifically for the Playdate handheld, this version is both a nostalgic nod and a groovin time!

• Classic: The same heart-pounding, addictive fun of the original Flappy Bird, now on Playdate.
• Crank-To-Flap: Using the crank the player can… well they can flap. And it’s much harder and more frustrating than the buttons, but I knew you would complain if it wasn’t there, so there ya go.
• 1-bit ….”Enhanced” Graphics: Enjoy the simple, pixelated graphics that made the original a timeless classic except now it looks more like an oreo! 
• Original Soundtrack: This version also includes an original theme song and improved sound design / effects that are a tad more subtle then the original. Both the theme song and the sound effect volumes can be controlled independently from the Playdate’s pause menu. (if groovin aint ur thang baby.) The game is also programmed to save your sound settings so the next time you boot it up your last setting will be right where ya left it.

This port is more than just a game it’s a heartfelt homage to the original Flappy Bird and I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it. Assets, programming, illustration, blips, boops, and doo-dads are all thanks to one man, his girlfriend, and their precious pup.
