DIANA CAVE ADVENTURE FOR 48K AND 128K ZX SPECTRUM #

This game is very special for us, as it is dedicated to one of the daughters of Jorge, the programmer and graphic designer of the project.
Originally programmed for MSX computers, it has been reprogrammed and extended to run on ZX SPECTRUM computers.
The 128K version of the game includes ingame music, composed by Sergey Kosov A.K.A as MmCM.

Synopsis  #

#

You are Diana, Jorge Romero’s eldest daughter.
Your father is a talented independent developer, but he needs a lot of caffeine to work!
The forces of evil are very angry because his games bring fun and happiness to a lot of people, so they have decided to sabotage his next project and have stolen all his coffee cups. To make things even more difficult they have hidden the coffee in a spooky cavern full of traps and bloodthirsty demons.
But that won’t stop the intrepid Diana from recovering Dad’s coffees!

Controls #

The game controls are very intuitive. You can use any Spectrum Joystick or the following keys:Up –     QDown – ALeft – ORight – PFire Weapon (only works in non volatile rooms) – SPACE

Gameplay #

Diana’s movement is similar to that of Jet Pac, since our heroine has a jetpack that allows her to fly.
The cavern has a labyrinthine layout. You will find doors and rocks that will prevent you from continuing on your way, so it will be necessary to find the means to eliminate these obstacles.
In terms of gameplay, we could classify it within the “Metroidvania” genre.

Game Demo #

There is a little demo available for free. This demo ends when you collect the first 2 coffees from the total 16.

**What is a ZX SPECTRUM? ** #

The ZX Spectrum is an 8-bit home computer developed and marketed by Sinclair Research. It was first released in the United Kingdom on 23 April 1982.

The machine was the creation of English entrepreneur and inventor Sir Clive Sinclair. It was designed to be small, simple, and most importantly inexpensive, with as few components as possible.
The addendum “Spectrum” was chosen to highlight the machine’s colour display. Video output is transmitted to a television, while software is loaded and saved onto compact audio cassettes.
