Game Overview #

Death Match is a multiplayer game where players match cards to attack their friends and be the last person standing. Match to the death!

Game Components #

Deck Breakdown (36 cards)

1. (4) Axe: -1 to chosen opponent.
2. (4) Mine: -1 to yourself
3. **(4) Heart: **+1 to yourself.
4. **(2) Joker: **Use any discard ability.
5. **(4) Steal: **+1 to yourself from an opponent.
6. **(4) Shuffle: **All cards move randomly.
7. **(6) Turn Steal: **Steal opponent’s turn.
8. **(4) Troll: **Pick one of opponent’s next card.

Game Setup #

Players: 2-4Each player has 4 lives to start
**How to Play
**
General Rules

1. Each player then flips 2 cards per turn to reveal them publicly 
2. If cards do not match, they flip back face down and are not put into play
3. If cards do match the cards ability activates, then they are removed from play leaving gaps in the board
4. Outlast your opponent’s 4 lives. You lose lives by matching two Mine cards 

Play until the last person is standing. If cards on the field run out, the board resets with 4 more Mines replacing 4 Life Gains.  
How to Win:
Outlast your opponents’ lives.  

Known Issues #

• No audio
• No animations
• No SFX

Updates  #

• 2/23/2024 – Started the player at 4 lives now instead of one
• 2/24/2024 – Fixed some bugs that happened after trying to start a new game in the same lobby (PlayerData not resetting properly, null errors because of events that weren’t unsubscribed from, etc)
• 3/30/2024 – Fixed an issue that happened when trying to play with four players, couldn’t test on my own since I don’t have four computers. Also added ability to name yourself and leave pre game lobbies.
• 6/1/2024 – Did the art pass, changed golden round to keep lives and change which cards spawn.
