Clone Zoo ZX by PuttyCAD
JOYSTICK SUPPORT UPDATE: We’ve added a separate file to test joystick support. (clonezooJ.tap) You may need to configure your settings if using an emulator.
Clone Zoo is a match-3 game originally published on Android mobile by Ric Lumb & Rich Hanson. This brand new ZX spectrum version is part of the PutyCAD Presents range of budget retro games.
In order to make sure our beloved animals never go extinct Professor Plumbob came up with a rapid cloning system. Unfortunately the Zooplicator 9000 he invented has been having a few teething problems and he forgot to install an off switch! That’s where you come in! As more animals arrive you must quickly sort them together to stop them eating each other to give the Professor time to fix everything! Watch more and more animals join the frenzy as you progress through the levels. If you amange to unlock all the animals required you can keep going for a high score before the Professor shuts it down.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Drag a tile to match 3 or more animals in a horizontal or vertical line. Complete the number of matches for each animal to progress to the next level. Every three levels a new animal is added which makes the game harder. Occasionally the Professor will appear in the level and if you move his block to the bottom by clearing blocks under him he will give you a hint the next time the timer gets low (indicated by a question mark in the timer bar, go over this and the professor will flash on a matching tile.
CONTROLS:
Keyboard Controls:
Tap W, A, S, D to move cursor – Hold SPACE and press W,A,S,D to flip tiles.
Joystick: Use clonezooJ.TAP file (if using an emulator you will need to configure the settings to use Joystick emulation.)
