What is Brute?
Brute is a challenging arcade game with a minimalist aesthetic. It’s a game about planning, timing and discovery.
- 50 hand crafted levels + 50 “Remixed” levels + Bonus Arena
- High Score mode unlocked when completing the game.
- Intuitive controls – all you need is a two button mouse!
- Extensive soundtrack made by the games creators
Who Am I?
I’m Michael and I make games and music under the name MGFM. I’m a sound designer and composer who has worked on both big and small games. On Brute I was aided enormously by Tyler Barber who provided graphic design help (logos, colour schemes and some sprites). Tyler also contributed music for the “remixed” levels.

IMPORTANT! I have realised that this game does not work well on high refresh rate displays – it has been developed for 60hz. I’m looking into seeing how much work it would be to support high refresh rate displays and will update this if I have a fix. For now if you run a display that is over 60hz, set your monitor to 60 and it will work as intended.
